Sweet, gooey marshmallows, crunchy graham crackers and rich chocolate—three basic ingredients working together to make something much more delicious than the sum of its parts.

We believe s'mores should be a dessert enjoyed all year round, not just in the summer months. Making a campfire in the snowy season, however, can be problematic. So we've ditched the roasting stick and turned the classic s'mores recipe into an indoor-friendly treat. With just three ingredients, this S'mores Dip is simple, delicious, and ready to be the hit of your next party.

INGREDIENTS

-       2 Wild West Prairie Oat chocolate bars (or any of our other bar flavors)

-       2 cups vegan marshmallows (we prefer Dandies brand)

-       1 package graham crackers of choice (we prefer S’moreables for a GF option)

HOW TO MAKE

1.     Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a cast iron skillet with cooking spray.

2.     Place Prairie Oat bars (broken into chunks) in pan to create a base.

3.     Place the marshmallows on top of the chocolate base, covering the surface.

4.     Move the dish into the oven and bake for 12- 16 minutes, keeping an eye on the marshmallows (they should turn golden brown, but not burn.)

5.     Remove from the oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes. Use the graham crackers to scoop up the ooey-gooey s’mores dip.

DO YOU NEED A CAST IRON SKILLET?

Cast iron heats up evenly and stays hot for a long time, making it the perfect vessel for this s’mores dip. The chocolate melts quickly and stays melted for longer in a cast iron skillet. However, you can make this recipe in any oven-safe dish or pan. Just keep an eye on the dip, as it may cook a bit faster or slower.

SWEETER SPINS ON THE CLASSIC

You can go for chocolate or cinnamon graham crackers, but we prefer the OG. Or if you want to get wild, try other dipping bases like chocolate chip cookies, pretzels, waffle cone pieces, or fruit.

What Else Can You Add?

  • Peanut butter or butterscotch chips
  • A drizzle of caramel sauce on top
  • Dollops of peanut butter between the chocolate and marshmallow layers
  • Chopped nuts (peanuts, almonds, pecans) mixed in with the chocolate

STORAGE AND REHEATING

One of our favorite things about this s’mores skillet dip is it can be reheated multiple times. Just pop it back in the oven until warmed through and melty. You can also store any leftover dip in the fridge for 3-4 days in a microwave-safe container and reheat as needed.
