Wild West Chocolate began with a revolutionary spark from our co-founder, Doug Brent, who looked at the confectionery landscape and decided to challenge the status quo. He tasked our "chocolatier extraordinaire" Guy Debbas, with doing what most said was impossible: developing a premium, alternatively sweetened chocolate that is both wildly delicious and genuinely good for you.
BJ, driven by her deep love for nature, wild spaces, and wild rivers, saddled up to steer a brand with a deeper purpose. She wanted to give back to Wild and Scenic Rivers because without clean water, we couldn’t source the clean ingredients in our chocolate. She went to work creating a brand that would stand out as much as the product itself.
It took this team 18 months to perfect a trailblazing, bean-to-bar chocolate recipe that is sweetened only with a signature blend of whole organic fruits. No refined sugar, no sugar alcohols, and no artificial sweeteners. No added sugar, period. Together, they proved that choosing a healthier path doesn't mean sacrificing rich, melt-in-your-mouth indulgence.
