While you can never go wrong with a basic cup of hot cocoa, this version adds a Wild West twist — It has chocolate AND coffee! By combining our Cowboy Coffee Chocolate, coconut milk, and espresso this tasty quasi-mocha is sure to both energize and comfort you. It's rich, creamy, with intense chocolate flavor, and it's easy to make.

 

Ingredients

  • 3 cans coconut milk
  • 1 Wild West Cowboy Coffee chocolate bar
  • 6 shots of espresso of choice
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • Toppings of choice (optional): Dairy-free whipped cream, marshmallows, cinnamon, chocolate shavings, crushed candy canes, caramel 

How to Make

  1. Start by brewing your espresso of choice. Set Aside.
  2. In a medium pot, combine coconut milk, espresso, Cowboy Coffee chocolate, vanilla, cocoa power, and brown sugar. Heat over medium until hot, stirring often.
  3. Once steaming (do not let it boil), use a ladle to pour the mixture into mugs.
  4. Top with your favorite toppings like whipped cream, marshmallows, or cinnamon and serve immediately.
  5. Curl up with a blanket, get cozy and Enjoy!
